In addition to the EoL date previously posted, - win 10 users should consider upgrading while it is still offered as an update. Microsoft has been known to stop offering the free upgrade by updates and then you are stuck buying it or getting it with a new computer.
I’ve been on Win 11 for over a year now and it supports all modes and software I’ve come across just fine including wsjtx, winlink, HRD, VARAC vara chat, dmt and Noss and plenty others. The ham hobby has a history / trend of preferring out dated windows making it an easier target for malware and bad actors online.

Just wait until the OS becomes a subscription model like Office 365. How many of us would “upgrade” when that business model kicks in?
Linux will become the biggest OS in the world if that happens. I can’t see that model working, but I’ve been wrong before.
I’ll be happy when I can finally retire and ditch cell phone and internet service. Just radios and nothing that requires an endless stream of payments.
And yes, I would happily run Windows XP entirely offline before I’d upgrade because it was dictated that I must, or else. Bah humbug. Maybe they shouldn’t make it obnoxious and unusable if they want people to upgrade. And the auto-upgrades are the worst part of Windows. If you have no control over the state of your own machine, you don’t really own it, do you? It’s fine if you want to rent your autonomy from Microsoft, to each their own. Personally I think a bunch of us are just sick of renting our entire lives.
