Good morning,
With Hurricane IDA about to make landfall, we need to make sure to
listen to the Hurricane Watch Net on 14.325 Mhz and 7.268 MHz for any
traffic. As is the case if we are asked we will provide help we will,
but only after it is requested.
Please do not self-activate, if you are needed/requested you will be
notified by your chain of command, your EC, or DEC which will be
notified by our Section Emergency Coordinator Jeff Walter KE5FGA. So
make sure your go kits are ready, batteries are charged/replaced in case
you are called upon. Any activation will be done by Jeff Walter, our STX
SEC after the request has been made. We have already been in contact
with the ARRL leadership in Louisiana and are ready if we are called
upon.
Additional information may be broadcast on the nets or repeaters listed
on the ICS-205 forms on the https://arrlstx.org/ website. Remember, you
may hear local hams out of Louisiana on our local repeaters requesting
directions, please assist as necessary to get them out of harms way.
