I have been informed by Harris County EOC that we are standing down our deployment.
On behalf of Judge Hidalgo, Mark Sloan, and Joey Clements I wish to thank all of you, whether ARES, ARC, Ham Clubs, especially all the folks from STX D7 & D8 who were ready to drive here from San Antonio and Austin to help out, as well as all the other out-of-towners…
It is heartwarming to know that we have such a great group of volunteers ready, willing, and able to help in the aftermath of a disaster, and I salute you all..
A lot of work went into the AUXC preparation and planning for this event, and we learned a lot that we can use in the future, should the need arise. (This being Texas Gulf Coast, no doubt it will!)
