Well, as you are aware Nicholas came ashore after midnight as a Hurricane:

Now downgraded to a tropical storm as it tracks toward Houston

And continued Tropical Storm Force Winds are impacting Power:

Of course that always causes a worry because of generator use and Carbon Monoxide Poisoning.
