The 2024 Greater Houston HamFest (GHHF) ARES Forum is Saturday March 2.
Please note that our session begins at 7:00 (before the official 8:00 am open)
With special arrangement by the event coordinators, we can continue as the kickoff session just as we have in past years. We (ARES leadership) have accepted the following terms:
·GHHF will make available to ARES the “Building D” at the fairgrounds between 7:00 and 7:55 AM on Saturday March 2nd.
·The meeting must conclude by 7:55 AM as there is an 8:00 AM session following.
·Those attending this meeting must purchase a ticket either in advance through the website (www.HoustonHamfest.org) or on site the morning of the event. Ticket cost is $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
·GHHF strongly encourages advance purchase due to the volume of time it will require to process ticket purchases that morning.
·GHHF will devote a ticket window to tickets for ARES and those entering for license testing. GHH anticipates the ticket window will open by 6:30 AM.
·Those attending the meeting will be able to receive a ticket refund when they present their ticket at the ticket window BEFORE 8:15 AM. The ticket must have the door prize coupon still attached to the ticket.
In summary: Everyone who enters the grounds before 8 AM must have a ticket. If you wish to attend the ARES meeting but then leave the grounds without entering the vendor area you will receive a full refund upon surrendering your full ticket before 8:15 at the ticket window. If the door prize stub is missing, this offer is void.
