WinLink Hands-On Training

On Sunday, April 2nd TCARES is hosting an afternoon of hands-on WinLink training, with the support of the Red Cross.

We will have some working rigs that folks new to WinLink can use for practice. And we can all perform some peer-to-peer connections.

Anyone struggling to set up WinLink is encouraged to bring their gear. We will do our best to get you dialed in.

Who:

  • Anyone interested in WinLink
  • Anyone working on getting WinLink up-and-running. Bring your gear (please label it).

When:

  • Sunday, April 2nd, 1-4pm

Where:

  • American Red Cross: 2218 Pershing Dr, Austin, TX 78723

I would like to attend on the 2nd. We are from Houston, Cy-Fair ARES. We used WinLink while working ARES in Florida but moved to Texas 5 years ago and need to update our knowledge base. Both my wife and I have been engaged with ham radio since 2016. Art - KM4 YGH

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Be sure to show how key goes in for higher speed, how to put in digi mode for extending your p2p range, and attachment size limits for modes used.
