Like Field Day but don’t think it involves enough smiling faces on two wheels? Do we have the event for you.
We are looking for operators to cover the rest stops on the Austin → LaGrange route of the MS-150. There will be ~600+ riders on that route that could use our help.
When:
Day 1, Saturday April 27th
(The Houston hams are covering the routes from Houston → LaGrange, and from LaGrange → College Station on Sunday, April 28th).
The minimum requirements:
- License: Technician. We’ll be using linked repeaters.
- Equipment: 20 Watts on 2m & 70cm w/ Gain Antenna (not 1/4 wave). If you’re interested but don’t have the gear, let us know and we’ll pair you up with someone that does.
