Hello everyone! Great news, San Antonio has a new City emergency repeater up and running! 145.450
In this week’s ARES FM Net, we’ll be switching between the Red Cross repeater and the new K5EOC-S repeater to see who can hit each one. Net Control will be Teddy Morse, KE5QGR.
Red Cross N5XO Frequency: 443.025 positive offset 5 MHz and PL Tone 82.5
New K5EOC-S Frequency:145.450. negative offset 600 KHz and PL Tone 103.5
You do not need to be an ARES member to participate in this net. Everyone is welcomed to join and to try it out.
Anyone who has trouble hitting the Red Cross repeater will want to participate in this exercise.
Tuesday Net Schedule:
6-7 pm Teddy monitors K5EOC-S for radio checks. Anyone can participate.
7 pm Teddy moves to N5XO to call for check ins on the ARES Net. Anyone can check in.
7:15 pm Net moves to K5EOC-S to see who can hit the new repeater.
7:30 or at Teddy’s discretion (depending on participation) Net will end
