For some reason my mail client has been shuffling email from this group to my junk folder. Sometimes.

I did listen in on the Net last night. I heard the Texas Net before 1930 - but after that, until 1945 I heard nothing. I did call a couple of times. But no contact.

Was the net active and I just missed it?

Band conditions on 80 meters were really rough last night. The band was long during the ARES net, so local traffic was very difficult to hear. I had to be relayed in to the Texas Traffic Net by a station in New Mexico!

I’ll try to be patient next time. I was running 100 watts on an end fed. Maybe I just didn’t get out.

Is there a document on the procedures/etiquette required for the net? Assumption is I am not calling CQ.

I was hoping to get some idea about my questions by listening last night but that didn’t happen. :slight_smile:

I’ll try again next Monday.
