Thanks to all who participated in the Winlink P2P drill. We received 51 messages from unique callsigns.

observations:

  • practice is good
  • many of the connections attempted were not in the Vara HF P2P session type
  • adding seconding addresses as a CC or in the primary To: this is strictly Peer to Peer no other routing unless that To or CC
    connects to the P2P station
  • propagation is a thing; 40 meters has unique characteristics changing throughout the day
  • although limited use cases, Winlink P2P is an important component in the communication toolbox
