Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but I have no other way to contact hams widely. My hope is that my pretty much mint condition ICOM 746 Pro…which might bolster a station not having and HF radio…finds a good home. My family has grown and as such I’m left with only a handheld as my ham/computer desk has gone away. I plan on putting my 2m/70cm rig in my shed at some point with my vertical to regain better communications in emergencies.
Please contact me if you have a need for a great piece to add to you emergency communication station.

Both of my boys, Andrew and Adam have their Tech. I want to have this radio for them available to the first one who passes his general. A big incentive. They love competition. I am already set. I operate a Yaesu FT991A for hf.

My suggestion is to donate this radio to Austin Amateur Radio Club for use in our radio loaner program. I owned a ICOM IC-746Pro and it is an excellent radio. I use only ICOM equipment. A resent now deceased member donated his ICOM IC-756Pro3 to the club and it is now part of the American Red Cross HF station in Austin that Austin Amateur Radio Club supports. So by donating your radio to the club it can serve either or both purposes.
I you choose to do this, I or another club officer can pick up the radio from you if you live in Central Texas, otherwise you can ship to one of use. Since Austin Amateur Radio Club is a 501C3 charitable organization, we can issue you a Tax receipt for the radio.
