We will be conducting an exercise starting 20 July 2020. We will be looking for general information on counties. In Louisiana that would be Parishes. The Amateur operator does not need to know everything. We will take what information he or she can give. General information may consist of road information, power information, water status, wastewater and other general information. I want to insure your members that they don’t have to know every aspect. We also may ask for weather information at a local air ports. But, only those who can monitor the airport via scanners.
We will be holding nets at noon daily through the week on 60m channel 1.
We don’t want you to use the internet to collect the information.
This exercise is to consider a scenario that it’s a bad day and the internet is down and the only way we can collect information for the
organization is to use internal support.

Yes this week Is an Army and Air Force exercise. It will start on 20 July and will end on 24 July.
There will be two formal net on 60 meters per day. ( FIRST 60 METER FREQUENCY) The first one will be at 1200 hrs ran by AMAR. The second one will be at 2000 hrs and will be an AFMARS net. All times are CSDT.
These nets will be looking for your county status water, electric, traffic etc. NO INFORMATION ABOUT COVID-19 will be asked.
