Coronavirus and COVID19 Round ups

I don’t know about you but I have been finding this to be a great time to practice social distancing by spending more time in the shack!

In the shack

I think we have a Pandemic and an Infodemic so I am putting my Red Cross Hat on and sharing trusted sources.

Trusted Sources:

Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) https://www.cdc.gov/
Texas Department of State Health Services https://www.dshs.texas.gov/
Office of the Texas Governor| Greg Abbott https://gov.texas.gov/
The White House- Coronavirus https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/coronavirus-guidelines-america/
https://www.ready.gov/texas & https://tdem.texas.gov/

and good to follow your local county and local health services. If you want to keep up with Cumulative Cases and COVID-19 deaths in Texas then

Well this is the curve of cases in the state of Texas:

Cases Growth curve in tX

So the Governor’s Voluntary program, or mandatory orders in your county are good to follow. If we keep up at this growth rate the Governor is not going to have any choice but will have to move to a mandatory Stay Home Executive Order. So please stay home if you can. Do not go out lightly. If you are like me then your senior discount also means you are more at risk for complications and death. SARS-CoV-2 is from 10 to 35 times more deadly than the flu. We do not want to go down the path of other states that have overloaded their medical systems by allowing their case rates to grow exponentially.

On the personal level I am limiting myself in the amount of news I listen to.
I am doing a bit of BBQ in the great spring we are having, and spending time with those I love the most.
Like many of you I am spending time with my grandkids. A good diversion has been the “Monster App” which teaches preparedness in a game format. Easiest way to download is to send “MONSTER” to 90999 or you can get it from your favorite App Store.
I have also been using Zoom and arranged family conference calls to keep up with loved ones across the country and state.
