Hey folks! Just a heads-up. COMPLETELY NEW RACE COURSE this year! Saturday, March 11th, 2023
It is an OUT-AND-BACK from Allen’s landing, DOWNSTREAM to the turnaround by the Waste Treatment Plant, then UPSTREAM back to Allen’s Landing for the finish.
We have just received this information and have set up some preliminary spotting locations.
I have not moved anyone to their spotting positions yet, I will do this after you all get a better idea of where the spots will be. It will be much easier in some ways, you will only have to call in the LEAD BOAT, both going and returning, and monitor for emergencies and assistance needs.
We will need AT LEAST ONE very important slot filled - THE PONTOON BOAT at the TURNAROUND. You will be on the boat during the entire event (~4 hours) and will play an extremely important role in communications.
Take a look at the new spot locations on the signup, and let me know if there is a spot you wish to be assigned to.
Even if you have already signed up, you need to chose your preferred position!!!
All COMMAND POST and START/FINISH assignments remain the SAME, no need to re-sign up.
