There will be no activation today, however they are building out the sites to be opening tomorrow.

Good morning Jeff. Everybody who signed up and gave me contact information has received an update as of 7 AM this morning.
Since we are requested to keep a low profile security wise, I have not sent it out to the masses by request. However, if anybody wishes to help, have them contact me I do have spots to fill today.
Polk County ARES has been operational every day this week. 2 at the EOC and 1 at our only POD. Operational today as well until about 1800 hours.

I will be down there as part of the FEMA IA Disaster Assistance Program. Is there any way you can give me an update where there is fuel and accommodations that have electricity? I will have to start looking later today. Also, is Diesel more available than gas right now,
I will have a radio with me. If I bring my truck I will have digital and FM Voice. If I bring a rental, then just an HT. Frequencies I should monitor??

Diesel’s fairly easy to find that most of the major gas stations, especially the truck stops and yeah it’s more expensive than gas
