ARES Partners:
On a personal note I am glad to be back from a volunteer family leave today!
The good news on the weather is that we should have great sun and clear days for our state-wide exercise this weekend. Feel free to copy TXRCAUS-DST or for Gulf Coast TXRCHOU-DST on any winlink checkins of note.

As of Wednesday the spaghetti was still scattered all over the wall. Model consensus has begun, and we (TX) may dodge this one. But our colleagues in Florida and on the East Coast may not be as fortunate.
We are still a ways out, and there may be some coastal flooding impact in Texas. Time will tell.
As you know I have come to trust Richard KE5MIM’s forecasts, as his track record is excellent. He provides weather decision support services to Red Cross South West and Rocky Mountain Division, and in these broadcasts focuses on Texas and Louisiana. You can always subscribe ; - ) All you need to know in less than 3 min.
Surprises are still possible. So keep tuned in to nhc.noaa.gov and or your local weather.GOV office.
