Note that the NWS KEWX (New Braunfels) weather radar is already out of service for two weeks, beginning Monday.
For most of us around Austin, KGRK (Granger) will be the best alternative.
Depending on what program you use to watch radar, there might not be any clear indication on your screen that KEWX is down.
They are removing the entire radome and antenna, and replacing the "pedestal," which I believe is the part that mechanically moves the radar dish.
